Books, Twitter, Weather, Stitching News

Dear Friends

I have been going to my local library once a week getting books to read...that is how fast I read them...I usually get anywhere between 1 and 5 books...it depends on how thick they are.

Here are the books that I have read:

Nancy Clancy - Super Sleuth - Book #4 in the Nancy Clancy Series by Jane O'Connor

At The Drop Of A Hat by Jenn McKinlay - Book #4 in the Hat Shop Mystery Series - My Own Book

Sadie Rose & The Cottonwood Creek Orphan by Hilda Stahl

Dinosaurs Before Dark by Mary Pope Osborne

The Unicorns Of Balinor - The Road To Balinor by Mary Stanton

A Spool Of Thread - Anne Tyler - Audio Book

Pillage - by Obert Skye - Book #1 in the Pillage Series.

My Library never has a complete set of a series and when I go to the Library I like to read the series without stopping.  I love the Young Readers Library Section cause they have books that I dearly love to read.  They only had Book #1 in the Pillage Series which is called Pillage by Obert Skye but they don't have Book #2 which is called Choke.  In order for me to get it I have to go through the Ever Green Library System and than I have to wait for 20 years before I get Book #2 in any given series or whatever the next book is in a series.  I do not like to wait.  When I am reading a series I like to read the whole series all at once.  Sometimes Libraries are discouraging at times.

I love the Seraphina Series too and my Library only has Book #1 in the Seraphina Series and they don't have Book #2 which is called Shadow Scale.  Next month I am going to be ordering book books from Barnes and Nobles.

I just ordered Pillage and Choke from the Pillage Series by Obert Skye from Barnes and Nobles last night so they will be on their way to my Reading Castle.  I am so excited.

I am currently reading "Chapter & Hearse" by Lorna Barrett.  This is Book #4 in the Booktown Mystery Series.  I have read Books 1 - 3 on my Kindle.  I decided to read the actual books.

I am currently listening to a Audio Book which is through my Overdrive through my local library and I am listening to Goldfinch by Donna Tart.  I love listening to Audio Books.  Especially in the mornings and at night.  I have three Audio Books on hold at my local library through my Overdrive.

I have plenty of books now to read from home that I own myself and as of today I am going to start reading the books that I have here at home.  This will give me more time to stitch on my projects and to work on my quilt and other things as well.  I love going to the Library but I am going to be ordering my books from Barnes and Nobles from now on.  I will continue to go to the Library to just sit and read and all of that.  I will never stop going to the Library.  I am too much of a Library Freak.

DEWEY'S 24 Hour READ A THON

I am participating in the Dewey's 24 Hour Read A Thon which starts this morning and it ends tomorrow morning which is Sunday.  You can read as much or as little as you want to within this 24 hour period.  The Book that I will be reading is called "Chapter & Hearse" by Lorna Barrett.

  1. I have a Spool of Thread on the wait list at my library. Was it good? I like the young adult reading too. Often I read the Newberry books.

  2. I love libraries too, Linda. I worked in a public library for a year after I graduated which was great as I got to see all the new stock as it came in and I met such a wide range of people too.
