What I'm Reading, The Weather, Cook-Out, Stitching

Dear Friends

I am taking a break from Reading Little House On The Prairie Books by Laura Ingalls Wilder for a while.

I am now reading the Booktown Mystery Series by Lorna Barrett.  My current book that I am reading is called "Book Marked For Death" - Book #2 in the Book Town Mystery Series.  I dearly love this series.  It is a cozy mystery and I love reading Cozy Mysteries.  I am getting my books from my local library.  I love spending time at my Library.

We have had some awful weather lately...yesterday (Friday Oct 3rd) we had nothing but high winds, very cold weather, and down pour of rain throughout the whole day and the evening.  I stayed in all day yesterday.  It was just way too nasty to get out and do anything.

The Maintenance Man, his oldest daughter, the maintenance man's parents, and the site manager all went together and they provided a meal for all of us in my Apt Bldg.  The Maintenance Man brought his big grill on the back of his trailer and we had Grilled Hot Dogs,  Home Made Mac & Cheese,  Home Made Chili,  Home Made Apple Pie,  Home Made Apple Cider,  Home Made Pumpkin Pie,  Home Made Cherry Pie.  We was all in 7th Heaven.  Than they played Corn Hole inside since it was way too nasty outside to play.  We all had a good time and it was very enjoyable.  We have Cook Outs every so often from Spring through Fall.  The next meal that we will be getting from them is the Thanksgiving Meal.  We have Potlucks throughout the year as well so they don't have to do it all.  It was just way too good.  I took some home last night for my supper.  I only had three Pieces of Pumpkin Pie is all!  I love my Pumpkin Pie but there was no Cool Whip for it though...darn it.

Today it is just cold out and very windy...I don't know if it is suppose to rain or not.

Sometime tomorrow I am going to post my progress of Rocky Mountain Christmas.  I have been stitching on it every night just about.

Happy Fall To Everyone

God Bless You
Love & Prayers

  2. I love cozy mysteries. Have you read the Apple Orchard series by Sheila Connolly? I am really enjoying them.
