I only have a half of a 10 x 10 block to finish up.  Than I have a Full 10 x 10 block to stitch and than Page 4 will be completely finished.  Than I can finish up with Page 5.  Yeah.  I am so happy and so excited.

I have been stitching on other projects too but this is my main one and "Parents" are the two that I am concentrating on right now.

We have been having very extreme hot humid stormy weather lately and yesterday was the worst so far.  It was so humid and so hot yesterday plus it storm - Sunday.  I stayed in all day yesterday and last night.  I did not go anywhere - not even to Church.  It was just way too hot for me.

The two Library Books that I am reading is:

Dear America - My Name is America - The Journal Of Douglas Allen Deeds - The Donner Party Expedition - 1846.  This book is so very interesting and basically it is a Non Fiction Book.  I dearly love this series because it tells the stories of Frontier People and Frontier Land and back in the 1700's and the 1800's.  This is very Educational as well.  You learn so much from reading this series.  The name of the Series is "Dear America".  I have read some other books from this Series in the past.

The other book that I am reading is called "A" is for Alibi by Sue Grafton.  This is a Alphabet Mystery Series and it is so good.  The Detective throughout this whole series is "Kinsey Millhone".She is so good and she is funny at times.  I started to read this series long time ago and than I quit on it so now I am reading this whole series Non Stop.  I love series like this.  Than I want to read all of Agatha Christie Books too.  My Library has them all as well as the Sue Grafton Alaphabet Mystery Series.

Oh I have decided to start going to my very own local library - they have lots and lots of books on their shelves and I love going there, sitting down, being surrounded by tons of books, and reading my Book.  There is something about spending time at a Library just being surrounded by books and reading.  I am in 7th Heaven when I do that.

Yesterday morning - Sunday - I received three Book Packages and the Books that I got are:

Apollo - Rick Riordan

The Tenants of Wildfell Hall - Anne Bronte

The Diva Serves High Tea - Krista Davis

I will be getting another book tomorrow - Tuesday - from Amazon and it is called

Magnus Chase - This is by Rick Riordan and it is Book #1 in this series.  I have Pre-Order Book #2 already from Amazon and it will be coming out in October of this year.

I prefer Hard Back Books so if I want a Book I will try to get it in Hard Back but if I can't that is okay too.

That is all for now....

Have a Wonderful Day, Night, or Morning

God Bless You

  1. I don't like it when it's really hot either, so one of the bonuses of living on the coast is that there is usually a breeze. I've read the Sue Grafton books and enjoyed them all. If you like mystery stories set in a different time period, may I recommend Dorothy L Sayers books featuring Lord Peter Wimsey? There are set in London between WWI and WWII and are a great read. The first one is called "Whose Body?".

  2. Very nice stitching! So sorry to hear about your very hot weather. I moved to Wa State just to get away from hot summers. Thanks for the reading info.

  3. Congrats on the stitching (great progress!) and the reading accomplishments. Libraries are awfully happy places. :) I got to meet Sue Grafton who I am glad to report is a wonderful person.

There's a cozies mystery readathon coming up in mid-July. If you can save your Davis or other cozies until then and want to join, there's info on where to sign up and what it is all about on my blog a couple entries back.
